Phase 1 - Map
Before anything gets built, we need to understand your situation. Phase 1 is that audit.
We map your business into its functional units, with defined inputs, outputs, and connections. From that map, we identify where AI applies to your specific situation and what is most valuable to build first.
The deliverable is your module map. This is also the specification for everything that follows.

A current map of the landscape. What approaches exist, what each is good for, and how to assess new developments as they arrive.

Where the audit work happens. Using Q1 and Q2, we map your organisation into its functional units, each with inputs, outputs, and knowledge required. The output is a complete picture of your business and where AI applies.
We call this your Module Map.
After Phase 1, you walk away with:

You are in the room when decisions are made. You understand what is being built and why. When Phase 2 ends, you can see the benefits of AI in your business first hand.
3. We train your team and document everything.
Every capability, every process, every decision rule is written down so the system can be handed over. Training covers how to use it, how to extend it, and how to swap tools as better options arrive.

How Pricing Works
Phase 1 is a fixed-scope engagement with a defined deliverable. Pricing is discussed on the discovery call after we have understood your situation.
Phase 2 is scoped after Phase 1 is complete. The right scope depends entirely on what the module map reveals about your specific situation. We cannot give you a meaningful number before we understand your structures. After Phase 1 we give you a specific scope and investment.
Phase 3 is a monthly retainer. The scope of how many capabilities are being built or maintained each month is agreed at the start of Phase 3 and reviewed regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to do both phases?
No. Phase 1 is a standalone engagement with a defined deliverable. After Phase 1 you have the foundation to continue independently. Phase 2 and Phase 3 are relevant if you want to build with us. There is no pressure toward either.
What is the difference between the Blueprint and the done-with-you engagement?
The Blueprint is a guide to setting up your personal workspace so you can work with AI on your own projects. Map your work, configure the structure, build the basics. Self-paced. For individual innovators.
The done-with-you engagement includes an audit of your specific context, judgment about what is most valuable to build first, and a build partner through the process. The method is the same. What you get from the engagement is the application of that method to your context, with someone alongside you through every stage.
What technical capability do I need?
For Phase 1, none. The work is about understanding your business and where AI applies, not building anything. For Phase 2, someone on your team needs to be able to implement and maintain what we build together. If you are unsure whether that is you, mention it in the form and you will get a direct answer.
For the Locus OS Blueprint, you need the technical know-how to implement this system independently.
What happens after Phase 2?
Phase 3. This is how we ensure the system keeps building. Each new capability adds to an architecture that is already in place - which means each one builds faster than the last. Your module map shows every function that has not yet been built. Phase 3 works through it, in the order that makes most sense for your situation.
Clients who do not continue into Phase 3 walk away with a working system they can maintain and evolve themselves, should they choose to.
We have already started implementing AI. Is Phase 1 still relevant?
Often more so, but it can be shorter.
Most teams that have started have done so using tools without a clear framework for whether those are the right tools, or whether they are being used correctly. Phase 1 gives you the structure to assess what you have, identify what is missing, and make better decisions from here.
What does "working with you" rather than "for you" mean in practice?
It means you are an active participant in what gets built. We work through the diagnosis together. You are in the room when decisions are made. You understand what is being built and why. By the end, you can maintain and evolve the system because you were part of building it. This is not us delivering a black box.
What is the difference between Locus and a typical AI consultant?
Most consultants arrive with a solution before they understand the problem. They have a preferred tool, a vendor relationship, or a playbook applied regardless of fit. The recommendation ages badly when something better arrives.
Locus builds the foundation first and teaches you to evaluate options yourself. The intelligence architecture is tool-agnostic by design. When better tools arrive, you swap them in without rebuilding anything else. You are never locked into a recommendation made before the landscape changed.
